Ring size guide
Two ways to find your size at home, and a chart that turns a measurement in millimetres into a US, UK or EU size.
Method one, measure a ring you already wear
Measuring in inches? Use method two instead. Circumference is far more forgiving on an imperial ruler.
Take a ring that fits the finger you have in mind. Measure straight across the inside of the band, edge to edge, in millimetres. Match that number to the chart below.
Method two, measure your finger
Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, snug but not tight. Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure the length in millimetres. That is your circumference, and the chart has a column for it.
Each US size is about a tenth of an inch of circumference, so read carefully.
The chart
| US size | Inside circumference (in) | Inside diameter (mm) | Inside circumference (mm) | UK | EU |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4 (not stocked) | 1.84 in | 14.88 mm | 46.8 mm | H | 47 |
| 5 | 1.94 in | 15.70 mm | 49.3 mm | J½ | 49 |
| 6 | 2.04 in | 16.51 mm | 51.9 mm | L½ | 52 |
| 7 | 2.14 in | 17.32 mm | 54.4 mm | N½ | 54 |
| 8 | 2.24 in | 18.14 mm | 57.0 mm | P½ | 57 |
| 9 (not stocked) | 2.34 in | 18.95 mm | 59.5 mm | R½ | 59 |
Things worth knowing
- Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are naturally a little fuller.
- Cold hands measure smaller, sometimes by half a size, so do not measure straight after being outside.
- Measure the exact finger you will wear it on. Your two hands are rarely the same.
- If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, choose something between the two measurements.
- Wide bands and stacked sets sit tighter than a thin single band. If you are choosing one of those, take the larger size.
- We make whole sizes only. If you know yourself as a half size, take the next size up.
- Between two sizes, always take the larger one.
We carry US 5 to 8. If you measure outside that, write to us and we will tell you what we can do.
